Monday 20 January 2025

07h35 – A MILNERTON Business requested Armed Response assistance

Suspect found trespassing on site - collecting trash

  • Armed Response dispatched 
  • On arrival Armed Response officers tried to get suspect to leave - but he refused – Armed Response officers then attempted to detain the suspect 
  • Back up Armed Response officers on-route to assist.
  • Armed Response then reported suspect left premises and fled in the direction of Brooklyn via the Vlei Bridge.
  • Armed Response officers in pursuit.
  • Suspect got away – Armed Response to monitor the area for him and extra patrols on site

07h30 - A rugby complex onsite security reported theft from a motor vehicle for a resident 

  • A Rugby resident reported to onsite security, that her car was broken into - Red Kia Picanto. The driver’s side window was broken and her battery was stolen. 
  • CCTV footage of the back gate was checked reported too dark to see if someone jumped over as there is no lights in that area. 
  • This incident took place on the 17/01/2025 – 00h37, break in only noticed on the morning that she had reported it.

09h35am – A Rugby complex onsite security reported a suspect jumped over the perimeter wall and stole the hubcaps of Silver Hyundai that is parked next to the red car that was broken into. 

  • The suspect then jumped backed over the wall and headed towards Koeberg Road
  • Armed Response Officers dispatched 
  • Armed Response spotted a suspect who fit the description (light of complexion slender male. Dressed in black shorts, hoodie and white takkies) at a petrol station on Koeberg Road
  • Armed Response radioed in they were in pursuit of the suspect. He was chased till Santos street when Armed Response lost sight of suspect when he disappeared in between the houses.
  • Armed Response to do extra patrols

Friday 24 January 2025

21h14pm – A Brooklyn Complex required Armed Response assistance for a domestic dispute

  • A male suspect jumped over the perimeter wall into Brooklyn complex and stole a mirror off one of the vehicles parked there. The suspect jumped back over the wall and headed in the direction of The Hut. 
  • Armed Response already on route
  • Description of suspect - Light of complexion male, beard, cap and long pants.  
  • Armed Response confirmed a patrol was done of the surrounding area, all in order, no sign of the suspect. All seems to be in order for now.

Saturday 25 January 2025

10h36 – A PIET GROBLER STREET resident requested Armed Response

Armed response received a call from a Piet Grobler Street resident requesting assistance for a tenant. Reported a husband and wife were fighting. On arrival Armed Response reported as per the tenant the problem had been resolved.

  • Armed Response received another call from the Piet Grobler Street resident requesting his assistance as the husband is beating his wife
  • Armed Response requested control to contact SAPS for assistance while he is on his way
  • Control contacted Milnerton SAPS and got no reply. Law Enforcement contacted all information given ref no 1002396316 await final feedback from Armed Response

Final feedback as per Armed Response no SAPS on site yet. Property owner would like SAPS to make a case against the suspects as they were both intoxicated. The situation was de-escalated as reported by Armed Response 

 

  • 13h04 - Armed Response received another call for assistance from the Piet Grobler street resident, as per owner no SAPS arrived on scene yet and the suspects had resumed fighting again Law Enforcement ref no 1002396460 was informed.

Sunday 26 January 2025

02h36 – A KINGS RD resident called in a report regarding 2 male suspects shining torches onto their property

  • Armed Response dispatched
  • On arrival Armed Response found 1 male suspect armed with a knife breaking wood to get metal out of it and picking up cans. 
  • Armed Response confiscated the knife and also did a check of the suspects bag for any other sharp objects, found tools a wrench, hammer, pliers and a tin object. Armed Response requested the suspect leave the area. 
  • All in order. Resumed patrols
