Monday 06 March 2023

09h19 – A Roome Street resident requested Armed Response

  • Armed Response dispatched
  • Armed Response requested SAPS on scene 2 suspects fighting and causing a scene on the street
  • Law Enforcement contacted. Confirmed SAPS and Metro Police have been informed, and a unit will be despatched

09h50 – A Frank Robb street resident requested Armed Response for a suspect which she has a restraining order against and he was on her premises violating the restraining order         

  • Armed Response dispatched
  • Armed Response removed the person from the property

Tuesday 07 March 2023

06h59 – A Koeberg Road resident reported a lady in a filled up with petrol, and then fled before paying. Car fled in direction of Milnerton

  • Armed Response notified to keep an eye out

Wednesday 08 March 2023

00h12 – A Plover Street resident reports a suspicious male in jeans and a black hoodie roaming up and down the street, looking into people’s houses.

  • Armed Response dispatched
  • Armed Response reports street checked.  No suspicious persons noted

12h00 – Protea Crescent resident reports shouting can be heard in the area.  Sounds like coming from the area around the church

  • Armed Response dispatched
  • Alpha 2 also reports en-route
  • Armed Response and Alpha 2 report area checked.  No shouting can be heard, area seems in order

Thursday 09 March 2023

04h37 – Armed Response reported whilst patrolling noted a garage door in Daisy Crescent is open

  • Control informs client of open garage door
  • Resident confirms break in at garage with items missing
  • Items noted missing were lawnmower, weed-eater and toolbox
  • SAPS contacted by the resident 

07h45 – Kings Road resident reports she had water leaking at about 00h32 in the morning and contacted Control.  Armed Response was despatched and shut the water off.  In the morning when the resident checked, she noted the water meter had been removed.  A private plumber was on scene, but said only CoCT can work on that meter.

  • Control contacts CoCT Water Reports.  Spoke to Simunkle, Ref:  9114377181.  Confirms water will be shut off ASAP, and meter replaced within 24 hours. 
  • Control requests repair to be marked as urgent 
  • Control notified the resident and confirms if they don’t sort the meter out by tomorrow (Friday) 10h00, she must contact Control, and we will phone CoCT again

13h21 – Ysterplaat Primary School requests assistance to contact Ambulance for a 12-year-old male child who fell and hit his head

  • Control advises that the child to keep the child still, especially head and neck 
  • Control contacts CoCT emergency services, to request a Priority 1 ambulance.  Spoke to Tracey, Ref 1001566048.  CoCT advises ambulances are extremely busy and next available ambulance will be sent
  • Control attempts to phone multiple services to get a paramedic to assist on scene until an ambulance arrives
  • Control contact Brooklyn Fire and Rescue, who confirms they will dispatch a Rescue vehicle immediately
  • 17h12 – Andrew Wood reports that child is at Red Cross Hospital for observation, and will be sent home soon

Friday 10 March 2023

03h17 – Dr Malan Crescent resident reports 2 males attempting to steal a gate.  One suspect had a blue backpack and brown jacket.  They fled down Dr Malan Crescent

  • Armed Response was informed
  • Armed Response reports all seems in order in the area

12h15 – Follow up on Kings Road – Control contacts client and confirms water meter was replaced yesterday.

Saturday 11 March 2023

07h15 – A Koeberg Road business requested Armed Response assistance for a suspicious vehicle parked in the parking lot

  • Armed Response dispatched
  • Armed Response confirmed arriving on scene and approached suspect in the vehicle in the parking area
  • Armed Response made contact with the suspect and noticed he was doing drugs
  • Armed Response confiscated the drugs and the suspect left the scene
  • Drugs were destroyed 

08h50 – A ER Syfrets resident contacted Armed response, requesting assistance

  • Armed Response reports that he removed a Male suspect from the premises, along with his possessions, as he was being aggressive to the resident

12h56 – A Claredon Crescent resident requested assistance for a lady with her 4-year-old she said her the boyfriend was arrested last night for abusing her and threatening to kill her children.  He was released this morning. The suspect came to her residence hit her and took the 4-month old baby.  She managed to get out, and get to another Claredon Crescent resident to ask for SAPS to be contacted, as the suspect broke her phone, and was under the influence of drugs and alcohol.  He was very abusive, even threatening to hit his parents, and she is scared he might hurt the baby.

  • Client phones SAPS with Ref:  926907, with incident address in Princess Alice Street given
  • Armed Response dispatched
  • Armed Response reported that the incident address is incorrect and that the incident is at a Fontana street residence
  • Armed Response proceeds to Fontana and made contact with the lady on the corner of Fontana
  • Control phones Law Enforcement with Ref: 1001568075, Bianca
  • Armed Response reports SAPS arrives and he left the scene

18h56 – A resident contacts Control to report a house fire at a Donegal Street home.  Armed Response also reported the fire while on patrol clients phoning him with regards to a fire there

  • Control contacts Milnerton Fire Department and they dispatched a truck
  • Armed Response arrives on scene and confirms Fire Dept not on scene yet, and that the fire was at the same house as a fire was reported before
  • 19h12 – Armed Response reports Fire Department has arrived
  • Armed Response leaves scene to continue normal duties
  • 19h45 – The resident called the Control Room confirm fire extinguished, and Fire Dept have left the scene

Sunday 12 March 2023

01h30 – A Kettley Way resident sent a panic alarm

  • Armed Response dispatched
  • No answer when resident was called
  • Armed Response arrives on scene and reported Resident Panic activated because he heard screams coming from a house in Kettley Way
  • Armed Response investigates and reported it was a domestic dispute. All in order now
  • Armed Response notified the other Kettley Way resident and continues with normal duties

18h41 – A Kings Road resident reported a friend was robbed near the Church and park in Da Gama street

  • Control advises friend to tell the victim to open a case at SAPS
  • NSCI Group member reports incident to SAPS
  • Suspect Description:  Suspect 1 wearing Black T-shirt, grey pants, grey shoes. Suspect 2 wearing black hat, black T-shirt, Black trousers, white sneakers, glasses, a grey bag over his shoulder, and a weapon
  • Armed Response reports area patrolled, no sight of suspects

21h20 – Armed Response reports solar lights x 4 that were on outside wall at a resident property are missing.  This was reported by the resident as well.
