Monday 28 April 2025

03h45 – A Brooklyn resident reported a fire in WEMYSS STREET 

  • Fire and Rescue Services contacted
  • On arrival services confirm its a car on fire 
  • Fire put out all in order

04h10 –  A Ysterplaat school required assistance for a vehicle incident outside the school 

  • On arrival Armed response reported a White VW polo hit a pole on the pavement in front of the Ysterplaat Primary school
  • One driver and four passengers all highly intoxicated 
  • Server damage to the vehicles tires
  • No damage to the school
  • CoCT emergency services contacted – ref no 100250436, SAPS requested
  • Traffic services informed 

Wednesday 30 April 2025

01h43 – Armed response reported a male suspect jumping over a boundary wall at an Egret street property

  • Armed Response reported a suspect leaving the premises in a hurry suspect was driving a navy-blue Renault and wearing a red and silver tracksuit
  • Armed Response confirmed that the suspect was lost in traffic on Koeberg Road
  • 02h10 - Armed Response returned to the premises and reported all in order full premises check done garage doors locked
  • 02h30 - Armed Response reports all in order and left premises

Saturday 03 May 2025

08h11 – A Madiera Street resident flagged down Armed Response for assistance

  • Armed Response reported they were requested to assist with a fire on the premises in Madiera Street with a garage and two vehicles
  • Control Room operator contacted fire and rescue 
  • Armed Response reported with the help of other residents and himself removed vehicles from the garage too prevent an explosion. 
  • Fire services arrived and extinguish the fire Armed Response reported all under control and resumed patrols
