Tuesday 22 August 2023

16h10 – A ER Syfret resident reported a motor vehicle accident between a taxi and a car on Koeberg Road.  Taxi driver became aggressive and wanted to drive away

  • CoCT Emergency contacted Ref:  1001725597.
  • Confirmed SAPS, Traffic and Law Enforcement were informed and in-route
  • Resident informed

Wednesday 23 August 2023

07h20 – A Linnet Street resident reported her husband was hit by a hit and run driver near Poole Street. The victim is about 60 years old, has a severe injury to the leg and is in severe pain.

  • Armed Response notified and dispatched
  • CoCT Emergency contacted Ref:  1001725962. Confirmed Ambulance, SAPS notified and in-route
  • Armed response arrives on scene and confirms patient has a broken leg and Ambulance urgently required
  • 07h37 Armed Response reports Fire Department Medics arrive on scene and attend to patient
  • Armed response clears scene and proceeds with normal duties

Saturday 26 August 2023

13h49 – A Donagal Street resident requested Armed Response assistance

  • Armed Response dispatched
  • Armed Response reports a suspect selling food from a vehicle in front of a Brooklyn Business and requests SAPS to come and remove the suspect.  Armed Response gets the suspect to move, but she only moves to across the road
  • Control contacts Law Enforcement Ref:  1001728948

18h05 – Off duty Armed Response Officer contacted Control and reports a community member contacted him and said there was a disturbance an a Brooklyn church youths forced the gate open and entered the premises

  • Armed Response dispatched to investigate
  • Armed Response Officers arrive on scene and secure the premises Officers note the gate has been taken of its rail, and requests assistance to put the gate back 
  • Alpha 2 confirms he is on-route to assist
  • Armed Response and Alpha 2 put the gate back on the rail close the gate and ensure premises is secured
  • Officers reports all in order and continues with normal duties
