Wednesday 04 September 2024

00h17 – Armed Response Officer reports he received a message requesting assistance, as the person could not get hold of SAPS

  • Armed Response arrived on scene and made contact with an Uber driver, who says he was nearly hijacked.  Uber driver apparently threw his vehicle keys into the yard in Kiln Street
  • SAPS arrives on scene, and Uber driver retrieved his keys
  • Armed Response resumed patrols

Saturday 07 September 2024

20h08 – A Corah Street resident requested Armed Response assistance on site

  • Armed Response dispatched
  • On arrival, Armed Response made contact with the resident 
  • Resident reported an intoxicated driver arrived for pick up and hit a vehicle that was standing in the road.  The suspect drove into a nearby house and refuses to come out.
  • The resident confirmed no SAPS is needed as he will sort the driver out in the morning
  • Armed Response left with all in order

Sunday 01 September 2024

21h17 – A Brooklyn Security complex requested Armed Response assistance urgently

  • Armed Response dispatched
  • On arrival, Armed Response made contact with the Shift Supervisor, who reported a female resident drove into the gate, causing major damage
  • Site Manager contacted, who confirmed SAPS assistance is required
  • CoCT Emergency contacted to dispatch SAPS
  • Armed Response leaves premises with all in order
