Monday 13 February 2023
15H59 – Control Room requests Ambulance and SAPS at Koeberg Road for a child knocked over by a taxi.
- Law Enforcement contacted, Contact Celeste, Ref: 1001542837
- Armed Response reported two Ambulance and SAPS on scene
- Armed Response reported that a 7-year-old girl had been hit by a taxi, whilst standing on the pavement.
- Ambulance took the girl to hospital, and taxi driver was allowed to leave
- Parents were informed by SAPS to get a J88 form and then open a case before SAPS can do anything
19H40 - A Robertson Street resident sent a Whats App to request Armed Response to check Justin Street, the family have gone out and there is a person sleeping diagonally across the street
- Armed Response dispatched
- Armed Response did a patrol at Justin Street, and noted no one.
- The Robertson street resident was notified
20H01 – Madeira and Santos street residents required Armed response as they reported people who jumped the fence at Madeira Park, and the gates are locked
- Armed Response informed
- A Madeira street resident also reported someone in the park
- Armed Response informed
- A few Residents were outside park when armed response arrived.
- Suspects jumped fence and left
- Armed Response and residents discussed possible ways forward
- Armed Response leaves and reports all in order
22H03 – Residents called in to report hearing gunshots in area
- Armed response reports all in order
Tuesday 14 February 2023
01H10 – Armed Response reported a vagrant asleep in front of client’s business
- Armed Response removed the vagrant
08H19 – A Curlew Street Resident reports suspicious person crawling under gate and entering premises of another Curlew Street resident
- Armed response dispatched
- Armed Response checked premises and does not note anyone or any suspicious activity. All seems in order
Wednesday 15 February 2023
08H19 – A Justin Street resident reports two suspicious persons lying under a blanket on the field across from her house
- Armed Response dispatched
- Armed Response arrives on scene and removes the two vagrants
12H52 – A Bancroft street resident requested a welfare check on his mother, as he is at hospital, and his mother not answering phone or messages
- Armed Response dispatched
- The resident of Bancroft notifies Control room that he got hold of his mother. All is well
- Control notifies armed response and cancels call
Thursday 16 February 2023
16H21 – A Clarendon street resident reports suspicious behavior at USave
- Nobody visible inside, lady entered but didn’t come out
- Armed Response sent to investigate. Instructed NOT to engage
- Armed Response reports positive armed robbery, but suspects have left scene
- ADT on site, and SAPS in-route
- Armed Response instructed to continue with normal patrols and duties
Friday 17 February 2023
21H30 – A Roome Street resident reports a suspicious van parked in street shining torch on houses
- Armed Response dispatched
- On arrival armed response reports no suspicious vehicle on scene
- Armed Response officers secure area and continues with normal duties
Saturday 18 February 2023
08H01 – A Diep Street resident reported a robbery the previous night
- Armed Response dispatched
- On arrival, Armed Response was informed that when the resident got home at 19H00, she noted someone broke into her house
- Suspects entered house through the side door, which the forced open, as well as the safety gate on the inside of the house
- As far as she noticed, only TVs were stolen
- Client did contact SAPS
11H55 – A Justin street resident reported a suspicious vehicle opposite their house
- Armed Response dispatched
- Armed Response arrives on scene and orders the vehicle to leave
14H13 – A Linnet street resident phones in requesting assistance with an aggressive male accusing her of throwing a bottle at him. Male is extremely aggressive
- Armed Response dispatched
- SAPS Milnerton notified. Spoke to W/O Botha
- Armed Response arrived on scene, and upon investigation found that the Linnet Street resident did throw a bottle at the man.
- Whilst Armed Response is sorting the situation, a third person arrives and accuses response officer of taking sides, he informed then resident that he is investigating, not taking sides
- Other persons leave, but third person is still confronting the armed response aggressively
- Armed Response decides to withdraw until SAPS arrives
- Armed Response reports by 14H45 SAPS have not yet arrived, and Control instructs him to leave and continue with normal duties
20H06 – A ER Syfrets resident requests assistance
- Armed Response dispatched
- Control room phones client to confirm problem
- Client reports problems with brothel across the road
- Brothel clients park on her and her neighbors pavements, making noise, leaving condoms and other trash in the morning
- Client reports when they confront the brothel client and staff, they get threatened and intimidated
- Control advises them to contact Law Enforcement and to make contact with BYRRA who should assist them with the problem
- Control contacts CoCT Emergency. Spoke to Moxolo. Ref: 1001547834
- Armed Response arrives on scene and says he can’t enter brothel premises as gates are closed
- Armed Response talks to some of the people outside, but they don’t do anything
- Armed Response resume normal duties
10H55 – Alpha 1 requests Armed Response respond to Corner of Claredon Crescent and Dick King Way as something is happening there.
- Armed Response dispatched
- Armed Response arrives on scene and notes an accident had occurred
- A suspect was sitting next to his car
- According to bystanders, suspect came from Koeberg Road, turned into Dick King Way, and hit a lady with a pram
- There was a child in the pram, but no visible injuries reported. Child was taken home
- Suspect apparently tried to flee the scene, but was apprehended and detained until SAPS arrives
- Some bystanders came to the scene and tried making it worse by making it a racial issue
- Armed response attempted to keep the situation calm, and NHW members arrived to assist
- SAPS arrived on scene, and took suspect, and father of the infant to the Police station so a case could be opened
- Armed Response leaves scene
14H40 – Alpha 1 requested armed response check a Koeberg road residence, as he received a message from a client
- Armed Response dispatched
- Armed Response reports the call was with regards to a child that was not supposed to be on the premises
18H00 – A Corah street resident requests Armed Response on site
- Armed Response dispatched
- On arrival, Armed Response notes the same lady from earlier outside shouting for her kids
- Armed Response informs her that her kids are not on premises, and that they are at their grandparents, and she needs to leave
- The lady moves to the corner of the street and calls SAPS
- Armed Response stands down on premises to keep an eye on the lady
- Armed Response tells the lady not to come near the premises
- Armed Response notifies client to call Control if any issues arise
- Armed Response Officers continue with normal duties and patrols
